Review #2613 | Brandy Review #116
Distiller: Domaine de Cutxan
Bottler: LEncantada
Brand: LEncantada
Selection: None – General Release
ABV: 50.2% ABV
Age: 17 Years
Nose: Sweet caramels, honey, light buttercream, figs, baked apple and a touch of white grape.
Taste: Rich on the palate, a prickle of heat here but loads of sweet caramel, honey, desserty with a hint of melon, white grape, pear and a touch of cinnamon.
Finish: Short to medium finish, pleasant and fun, a touch of ginger, anise, apple, pear and cherries. An interesting pour, it’s unique and certainly interesting but perhaps not my favorite Cutxan with the prickle of ethanol and a little more baking spice tossing this just a touch out of balance.
Overall: Pleasant and very good, but not the best Cutxan I’ve gotten my paws on. That’s not to be harsh on this bottling, there have been some insane Cutxan to precede it!
Thanks for reading!
