Heaven Hill

One More Dram reported on Thursday that Heaven Hill unveiled the Bottled-In-Bond Artist Series Collection. The five-bottle lineup features distinctive artwork from Kentucky artist Bri Bowers. The labels feature custom watercolors depicting the bourbon icon’s rickhouses, distillery and more.

The series includes five bespoke paintings, and each bottle hosts a suggested price of $49.99. Per bottled-in-bond regulations, the whiskeys clock in at 100 proof, were distilled by a single distiller during a single distilling season, and spent time aging in a federally bonded warehouse.

The artworks depict Heaven Hill’s Rickhouses, the Bernheim Rickhouses, the brand’s Heaven Hill Springs Distillery, the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience, and Heaven Hill’s Championship Barrel Rolling Team.

As for the artist behind the labels, Bowers studied in New York at Parsons School of Design. After a brief stint in New York, she moved to Kentucky. Her calling card is her watercolor paintings of Louisville neighborhoods and landmarks. According to her biography, she has created art for other whiskey brands, including Angel’s Envy and Maker’s Mark. Bowers described painting the labels for Heaven Hill as “an honor.”

“This series is a love letter to Heaven Hill’s history and to Kentucky itself,” said Senior Brand Manager at Heaven Hill Distillery Kelly Hendriksen in a statement. “For nearly ninety years, Heaven Hill has been woven into the fabric of Kentucky Bourbon’s story — carrying forward traditions that define America’s native spirit. Bri’s work beautifully captures the people, places and pride that have shaped not only our bourbons, but also the broader history of Kentucky Bourbon itself.”

Heaven Hill shares that the bourbons host a suggested price of $49.99 and offer aromas of vanilla and honey, interlaced with caramel. The palate hosts a light kick of rye spice, coupled with caramel and honey and a whisper of barrel char.

Heaven Hill’s New Sweepstakes Takes a Page Out Of Willy Wonka’s Playbook
