Lost Lantern

On Wednesday, Lost Lantern announced that its Fall 2025 release consisted of a series of American Single Malts meant to appeal to Scotch drinkers. The collection is set to drop on November 12, and the whiskeys range in price from $90 to $150.

“American single malt has rapidly become one of the most dynamic styles of whiskey in the world,” said Co-Founder and Head Blender of Lost Lantern Nora Ganley-Roper in a statement. “We are excited for Scotch lovers to join us in exploring the more traditional side of this fast-rising style.”

The American Single Malt Category was ratified in December 2024, and many distilleries celebrated the cementing of regulations and transparency due to the category’s rapid popularity. As far as the collection is concerned, some of these offerings feature more “traditional” flavor profiles meant to appeal to Scotch whisky fans. Some of the distilleries highlighted in the collection are based out of Idaho, Massachusetts, and Oregon.

“While the single malts and blended malts in this Collection are not and could never be Scotch, which can only be made in Scotland, these unique and exceptional whiskies will hold special appeal for Scotch lovers,” Co-Founder Adam Polonsky said in a statement from the brand. “We worked closely with each of the distilleries in the collection to source truly first-of-their-kind whiskies for this Collection as a way to invite Scotch lovers into American single malt.”

The collection includes a selection of three whiskeys from the Nantucket distillery, Triple Eight. This marks the inaugural release of single cask whiskies and cask strength offerings from the brand.
