Review #2598 | Armagnac Review #

Distiller: Domaine dEsperance

Bottler: Domaine dEsperance

Brand: Domaine dEsperance

Selection: None – General Release

ABV: 49% ABV

Age: 26 Years

Nose: Fragrant and pungent on the nose, loaded with stewed fruits, a good deal of plum, peach, spiced pears, currant and some tobacco, pepper and ginger.

Taste: Moderate mouthfeel, pleasant viscosity, honey, apples, stewed fruits and currant, ginger and toffee. There’s a touch of heavy oak, deep tannin, tobacco and some minerality.

Finish: Long finish, complex and monstrous. Silky sweet cola, toffee and luxardo cherry meets slate, heavy tannin, tobacco and pleasant currant.

Overall: This release is sneaky in that it builds and builds and builds throughout but it’s an oaky, cola, cherry driven beauty that’s easy sipping and powerful.

Thanks for reading!
