Nose: Vibrant and juicy, fruit, loaded with character. Apricots and pears pop first on the nose. Jammy red berries, tons of tannin and new wood, toasted marshmallow and some stewed, tart cherries.
Taste: Rich palate, tons of warm caramel and butterscotch, toffee, toasted marshmallow, guava, apricot and pear. It’s jammy one moment, bright the next and loaded with dessert and new oak flavors still yet.
Finish: Long finish, dominated by oak and tannin and caramels here. Toasted marshmallow returns, gobs of tannin and a hint of that tropical fruit and apricot I love.
Overall: Second summit for batch 007 is a big and jammy bruiser that’s loaded first with jammy fruit and secondary with tons and tons of tannin which brings it to a new place – Found North doesn’t typically exude this much tannin to me, but it’s also no surprise that this has become so cultishly popular as a result.
