This July, the moniker T8KE turns 10 years old. It’s wild to think that 10 years ago, I put pen to paper to write about whiskey for the first time. In that 10 years, so many things have happened that were, and still are, beyond my wildest anticipations for what writing a few words about Eagle Rare on Reddit could become.
Thousands of reviews, my blog being acquired, launching Whiskey Raiders, eventually leaving Raiders to become independent again, hundreds of single barrels and most importantly to me: meeting hundreds of you guys, in person, online, on calls and streams and tastings and dinners. It’s hokey, but if not for the people I interact with and get the absolute privilege to meet every day, I’d have gotten tired of doing this a long time ago.
So, for the first time, I’m thrilled to have had the opportunity to put together a large scale, in person event at the home of The Reveries in Middleburg, Virginia. This July, meet friends and make new ones, experience pours and the folks behind some of my favorite brands and some ofour best partners. Enjoy pours, see The Reveries in person, enjoy food and some live entertainment and thieve from an upcoming Reveries release – straight from the barrel. Joining the fun will be Barrell Craft Spirits, Found North, and Rare Character and folks from each of their teams to pour and engage with you as well. And, to put a little pep in your step, we’ll have brews and the return of our canned coffees from Waypost coffee as well, all poured by Mike from Waypost.
I’ve worked with each of these brands to also produce a limited edition Ten Year of T8KE Exclusive release that will be up for tasting at the event, and available as a package pre-sold with a VIP ticket. Some limited stock will be reserved for online sale after the event via from leftovers on a Limit 1 basis but is not guaranteed.
Tickets are now available. There are two tiers. General Admission is a day ticket with access to all of the fun and pours and experiences.
VIP includes all of the fun of GA with an extra hour of entry featuring additional pours as well as 1 of each collaboration bottle. The bottlings are:

If you’re thinking about making a weekend out of it, I can’t recommend it enough. Found North and I will be hosting a tasting menu style dinner the Friday evening before the event (ticketed separately, to come) at The Fountain Inn and there will be store specials and additional bottles for tasting at The Bourbon Concierge in Georgetown as well. DC is a great city with tons to do and I’ll be putting together a guide to great booze and food in the city.
