Bartenders around the U.S. get ready — Camp Runamok announced its 14th return to Lebanon Junction in Kentucky. Lush Life Productions puts on the legendary whiskey summer camp extravaganza, and the organization shared that Session One starts May 17 and Session Two begins on June 21.
Since its inception, Camp Runamok has hosted almost 4,500 bartenders and educated them about American whiskey. The whiskey-soaked hospitality summer camp-themed education program consists of classes, distillery visits and “old-fashioned camp fun.”
Camp Runamok shared that bartenders interested in applying go through a “competitive application process” that takes experience, passion for the craft and potential into consideration for each candidate. The hospitality retreat selects 150 candidates to attend the six-day retreat.
“Camp Runamok is a seven-day adventure in the heart of Bourbon country, brought to life by Lush Life Productions team,” the copy on its website reads. “You’ll spend your days touring Kentucky’s finest distilleries, afternoons by the pool, dinners that get you out of your seat, talent shows and campfires with 200 new friends.”
The six days of bourbon-soaked fun will take place at Camp Crescendo in Kentucky.
Bar Magazine reported that this camp is also open to bar managers and owners, but brand representatives are unable to attend. Campers chosen for Camp Runamok in 2025 got the news that they were selected to attend on February 10.
