Nose: Vibrant, tropical nose. Tropical fruits, vanilla bean, musty wood, parchment and a hint of dole syrup. Rich, vivid.
Taste: Moderate texture on the palate, moderate viscosity. Apples, pears, peaches, apricots. Candied ginger, orange slices, vanilla bean and butterscotch. Hint of pepper, faint salinity.
Finish: Finish is the star: hint of salinity, tropical and stone fruits, sweet caramels and a punch of pepper works so well here. Great structure here as well.
Overall: Overall, the Glenburgie is the star of ths show in this collection but this release is no slouch. Glen Garioch impresses here, the first time I can recall in recent years. Lovely stuff.
