Campari announced on Monday that the bright red spirits brand was making its return to the red carpet for the Festival de Cannes. The spirits brand is partnering with Mads Mikkelsen, the Danish actor who starred in “Hannibal.”
“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the prestigious Festival de Cannes,” said House of Aperitifs Managing Director Andrea Neri in a statement. “This collaboration is for us a celebration of the passionate creativity behind the world’s most extraordinary cinema. Through our collaboration with Mads Mikkelsen and our rich series of events throughout the festival, we continue to celebrate those who follow their passion to create something truly unforgettable.”
More details will unfold regarding the brand’s collaboration with Mikkelsen. Yet the brand did share it is hosting a variety of events at the iconic film festival, including the Campari Event, Discover Red, which takes place on Saturday, May 17.
The brand additionally will be hosting Breaking Through The Lens as part of the fourth year of partnership honoring women and filmmakers from underrepresented backgrounds. Breaking Through The Lens offers access to funding for “marginalized” groups looking to enter the entertainment indiustry. It will additionally host The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter Podcast with Academy Award-winning actress, Sissy Spacek.
Of course, Campari will be hosting its fair share of afterparties and industry events, including a party for the film FUORI, which stars Valeria Golino. As far as American filmmakers go, Campari is set to host a cocktail reception celebrating acclaimed director Spike Lee and his new film “Highest 2 Lowest” at Hyde Beach.
To add a bit of liquid cheer to the festivities, Campari is launching a new cocktail for the 2025 Film Festival: Red Carpet — Cannes Edition.
Campari shares this cocktail is a “cinema-inspired twist” on a Negroni, with hibiscus-infused Campari, Courvoisier VSP and bitter chocolate vermouth.
