On Tuesday, the indie bottler Lost Lantern announced its newest series set to drop on June 25. Summer’s 2025 Collection honors estate distilleries, capturing the idea of whiskey farms and grain-to-glass pours.
In a news release, Lost Lantern claimed that though estate wineries are admittedly nothing new, estate whiskey distilleries have recently been “unheard of” until not too long ago. The brand shared that over 3,000 distilleries exist in the United States, and just a tiny fraction of those grow their own grain.
“Though they come from different corners of the country and vastly different climates, these distilleries share a common ethos: crafting whiskies that truly reflect the land, while also prioritizing its stewardship,” Lost Lantern Co-Founder Nora Ganley-Roper said in a statement.
The collection includes a series of six single-cask releases and two single-estate blends. Each release is bottled at cask strength, non-chill-filtered and has no color added. The bottles run from anywhere between $100 to $130 apiece.
“It’s no surprise that all four are founded and owned by multi-generational farming families who’ve worked their land for a century or more,” said Lost Lantern Co-Founder Adam Polonski in a statement. “Now they have found a new way to share the bounty of their land with whiskey lovers across the country.”
